Grand Union


Some pictures below from a wintry walk along the Grand Union Canal in Milton Keynes. No snow on the ground but quite cold enough for the surface of this shallow waterway to be frozen. The exception was along the centre where a few passing boats had carved out a path, rapidly re-freezing. Some houseboats were moored up against the towpath, engines running against the cold, in tiny lagoons of open water.
