• For when you just haven't got much time - shorter walks |
Sadly, life can't all be rucksacks and long hikes. Indeed, although we love to get away from it all, the majority of our walking is done in a few hours at weekends. So, for the occasions when you only have a bit of time available, here are some ideas for short walks. Currently they range from 4 miles to 12 miles, with a 'short long walk' of 33 miles soon to be thrown in for good measure - the Basingstoke Canal towpath. Our first planned update to this section, it breaks down into convenient stages, it has great transport links, lots of interest and more peace and quiet than you would have thought possible so near to big towns. We, er, just need to finish walking it...
