South West Coast Path 2002 - Padstow to Sennen |
| Day 7: St Ives to Boswednack |
| 7.5 miles Distance from Padstow: 74.5 miles Distance from Minehead: 240.6 miles Read today's journal entry |

Leaving St Ives: Past the Tate Gallery, where visitors stick their used entrance stickers on anything available... but is it Art? |

Lambs to the slaughter: Looking distinctly apprehensive about this, aren't we? It was certainly one of the toughest bits of walking we have done |

Running up that hill: Clodgy Point is where you turn the corner, set your teeth and get under way for Zennor. Clodgy is apparently Cornish for Leper, which gives an interesting insight into its former use |

View west from Clodgy Point: Here you can see Hor Point, Pen Enys Point and Carn Naun point. It takes longer to walk than to say... |

Why it's tough: The problem is that this bit of path isn't flat for ten yards together, and you're constantly scrambling over rocks |

Measuring the distance left: This is an old Ordnance Survey trig point above Trevega Cliff |

The view from Trevega: Zennor head is now in view, looking misleadingly close. |

The Carracks: Apparently a favourite place for basking seals |

Climbing off Wicca Cliff: Next up is Tregerthen Cliff and the hardest part of this very hard stage |

Gala Rocks: In the background are the low cliffs of Tremedda |

Native rocks: Rock formations like this make it clear where artists like Hepworth and Heron got their inspiration |

Lush valley: The path runs through this garden-like area approaching Pendour Cove. The turning to Zennor village is here |

The far side: This is the other side of Zennor Head, and we were very glad to see it |
 |

Path signage: Gosh, we really are in the middle of nowhere, aren't we? |
